Choosing to use an Internet fax service for your faxing needs is almost obvious. You can save time, storage space and help do your part to keep the Earth green by replacing your traditional fax machine and paper with a user-friendly website. But because there are so many different providers to choose from, it can be difficult to decide which is best for you and your needs. To help you understand, we pitted the two contenders Internet fax, and Fax87 MetroFax, against each other. Here is how they measured up.

Best for large companies

If you are a larger company, it is likely that you will send and receive many faxes. As such, you'll need an Internet fax plan which includes a large amount of pages per month. The highest page that the award Fax87 offer is 2,000 pages per month on its plan Pro, which costs $ 34.99 / month with an annual subscription. If you exceed this allocation, each additional page will cost 4 ¢ per page. MetroFax the other hand, offers a few more pages to send and receive each month with its professionally. This plan costs $ 29.96 / month with a one year (or $ 35.95 / month if you pay month by month) and gives you 2500 pages each month. If you exceed this limit, each additional page is 3 ¢ per page. In short, if your company is sending or receiving a large fax, MetroFax would be the best choice because it offers 500 pages per month more than Fax87 and at a better rate.

Best to use on a smartphone or tablet

Mobile applications

Several Internet fax companies have created for users to easily send and receive faxes while traveling. While Fax87 offers easy to use Internet faxing for a desktop computer, it does not currently have an application. In this case, MetroFax would be the best option because its free mobile app is supported on iOS devices with version 5.0 or later, and Android devices 2.2 and so you can sign, send and receive important documents in range hand, no matter where you are.

Best to send and receive fast time

In general, Internet fax speed takes about the same amount of time as traditional fax and can range from one to three minutes. We were pleasantly surprised that the two MetroFax and Fax87 were much faster than the time when we sent and received faxes. During our test MetroFax barely 45 seconds to send and one minute and 26 seconds to receive while Fax87 only took 34 seconds to send an outgoing fax and 57 seconds to receive an incoming fax. For two faxes sent and received in a timely manner, you really can not go wrong with any of these services in terms of opportunity.
